A Doctor Who Knows What Matters

  • As a proud father of two, Dr. Daniel Resnick knows first hand that life can throw a lot of curve balls including sleepless nights, stressful situations, and things outside of your control. He has spent the last fifteen years working to develop a combination of knowledge, skills, and tools to help empower people to live their best lives.
  • He studied Psychology and Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley to learn how people think and interact with their worlds including being exposed to many different therapy modalities and approaches.
  • He worked in Psychometrics learning how to measure the different factors that make people unique and how these factors influence what individuals values, how they communicate, and the dynamics they form with each others.
  • He worked on an ambulance as an EMT, where he met his incredible wife Catherine who now works as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He spent the time to learn what it’s like for people to experience crisis situations and how to support people through them including how to navigate the healthcare system with all of its frustrations and overwhelming complexity.
  • He worked as a Behavioral Health Technician in a dual diagnosis rehabilitation center and supported people on their journey from addiction and despair to recovery and hope.

Psychiatry is the best speciality in the world because we get to help treat the human condition, not just a condition of a human. Mental health touches every aspect of our lives and is deeply connected to our physical and spiritual health. When we combine medical knowledge with compassion to treat the whole of a person, we can change lives and help people recover from trauma, despair, addiction, and mental illness.
